Grey Market

It always worries me when I see Koreans wearing "Choose Juicy" shirts. In Korea, Juicy Girls are the prostitutes who work at foreigner hang-outs in an attempt to drag as much money out of GIs as possible. This is the first time I've seen a dude wearing one of these shirts.

The police didn't like me taking a picture of them playing soccer.

I stopped by the half-abandoned high school.

Another entire block of the grey market is gone. Compare it to this picture. Oh well, at least they replaced the market with environmentally friendly trees, rather than something ugly like sterile, puke-coloured buildings.

Well, here's a sterile, puke-coloured building.

This part of the market is still open, although it looks a little worse for wear.

Another picture of "the future."

I wonder what this building will have inside.

A quick look up Cheonggyecheon.

Not a good picture, and you can't quite tell that there is a small kid nestled between father and mother. I was prepared for this because a few seconds earlier, a scooter rolled past with a whole family of four on it. Not something I've seen in Korea before.

The street food restaurants are still open and as loud as ever.

There was pornography but not enough toy stores in the vicinity.

Starting to close up.
