Hapjeong

We arrived at Hapjeong Station.

There had been a lot of demolition here since the last time.

We found a stairway worth going up. At the top was an abandoned church.

We squeezed through the front window.

Organ!

I guess tape players aren't worth the bother of hauling them anymore.

Neither are photocopiers, although they are heavy.

The front doors.

Time to get out.

This is the outside. I was hoping there would be a large room filled with pews, but we couldn't find anything.

This stray cat was living in an abandoned house.

Demolition.

I took a good long look at this poster and the picture of the stray I took. According to the poster this cat only has one eye.

We went up high to get a good look at the abandoned neighbourhood.

There were quite a few pedestrians cutting through. You can see a scooter on the right and a woman with her small daughter playing in the dirt on the left.

Then hopefully the woman saw the piles of asbestos and left.

All the workers were standing inside this little fenced off area. It turns out that's where they store all the asbstos.

Another look at the abandoned church.

Those look like good shows.

We walked through and were chased by an excavator on its way to its parking spot.

This mascot for a barbecue restaurant nearby wants you to know you're in for a fight if you want some beef.

Looking inside an abandoned restaurant.

The inside of the noraebang was so dark I needed to use the flash.

There were still plenty of tamborines.

This place was used for making signs.

Inside the liquor store.

Flower shop.

Barbecue restaurant.

By following along the inside of the fence we were safe both from injury and being caught by security.

An abandoned jewelry shop.

This looks like it was a vet clinic.

Seafood restaurant.
