One Year of Buster

June 4
The first time I met Buster, I didn't know which one would eventually move in with us.

July 2
I took Jung to visit the kittens, and she brought Millie along to see if she could pick out a younger brother or sister. It turned out she wanted to be an only child.

August 11
I went alone to bring Buster back to our apartment. He whined a bit more in the taxi than Millie but the true terror waited him at his new home.

August 12
Millie and Buster did not start off on the right foot.

August 13
After a day the cats decided survival was more important than territory and a truce was reached.

August 14
Millie and Buster ran away from home together while I wasn't paying attention. They slipped out through this slot which I think is for milk bottles. They went down one floor and stuck together, wondering why we weren't answering the door.

August 15
One difference we found out about Millie and Buster. Only one of them seemed to like catnip.

August 15
There were a few fights on August 15 which was a national holiday. Buster seemed interested in playing, but Millie was serious about it. On the bright side, we could see he was starting to enjoy himself and wasn't afraid of Millie.

August 16
I stayed home with the cats on a sick day. They seemed a lot more comfortable with each other.

April 17
Buster got to meet a hamster.

August 20
There were some impressive fights on August 20, but they ended up sleeping together anyway.

August 26
They were friendliest at mealtime, and would usually fight a little after. Buster liked escaping from the apartment any chance he got.

August 29
Buster was 100 days old on August 29. Unlike his one-year birthday, we didn't forget this one.

He picked the vial of pills. Then a week later the vet put him on medication.

August 30
They hung out together in the mutual interest of catching bugs.

September 2
We took Buster to the vet for a visit.

September 17
Some playing and fighting which ended with one cat's neck broken.

September 22
When we went to China Buster and Millie stayed with Grant and his cat Baekdu. Looks like a hellish visit.

September 30
Millie and Buster received a visit from Baekdu while Grant was in China. Buster made a friend but to a certain degree they united against this new cat.

October 3
Buster and Baekdu enjoyed fighting.

October 6
On Chuseok we made a cat skyscraper.

October 10
Buster was sad when Baekdu left but Millie was relieved.

October 14
Turns out Buster likes Prince Buster.

October 23
Some secret cuddling while Jung was out.

October 24
In the morning.

October 29
Buster and Millie both didn't know what to expect from their first Halloween.

November 4
Suddenly Buster acquired a late taste to catnip, which Millie doesn't seem happy about. He got high and smashed a bunch of things.
