A Trip to the Vet

Here's a picture in the morning before everything happens.

Millie got to ride a bike. She enjoyed it a lot more than I expected.

You can see her there.

Here she is with her vet. First we needed to get a blood test done.

The vets sprayed her chest in order to dampen her fur so they could find a vein. It was difficult because of her particularly soft fur.

We waited for the test results.

Millie made a new friend.

So did I.

She started to feel more comfortable at the vet's.

She posed with one of the other dogs.

And her friend.

It was difficult injecting her with sedatives. She remembered the needle earlier and struggled.

Her eyes dilated and the doctors gave her eyedrops. Apparently animals don't close their eyes during this operation.

We went on a walk and found these berries. They look like a cross between strawberries and water mines.

When we came back, Millie was out cold.

Some scratch marks from one of the shots.

We brought her home where she kept sleeping.

She tried to walk but she could only go a few meters before she'd fall asleep again. She is sleeping on her feet.

The next day, she hides inside her house.

Her pupils are still dilated.

Hiding behind Jung's dresser.

Then later in the day she completely recovered and climbed into bed with me.

Hiding under the bed.

She came over to us for a snack.

She looks completely better now.
