There's a Wal-mart not too far away, so you pull in there and park in the farthest corner from the front doors where there's the least chance some mouthbreathing employee will notice your car doesn't belong to a customer. It's only about five minutes away from the hospital, so you set out on foot. You're so smart, yes you are! There are no sidewalks on the way, so you'll either have to walk on the shoulder of the road or go cross-country through thick grasses that are possibly hiding water or mud. Which will it be? I'll be safer on the shoulder. I'll be less conspicuous in the grass.
