Skunk/GMC New Year's Show

Here's my scooter when it was new.

This is the PC Bang I always went to.

A brand of cigarettes I thought was funny. I hadn't yet seen 88s.

I went to the show with Myunghwan, a friend I made in Suwon who liked metal.

On the way to WASP we found some grafitti.

The train tracks have changed a lot in two years.

There's WASP.

It was a little while until the show so we climbed the hill.

Here are the bands. There were basically a lot.

The first band was named Josain Brats, or something. I never figured out what it was supposed to mean. They never played again.

The second band up was 49 Morphines.

Now here's Boram in Knockdown.

I think this is Unleashed Anger now.

I think wearing a sweater like that would make you extra mad.

Here's Orc fronting in Blood Pledge. I thought they were the best band of the show.

An interesting mix of skinheads and straight-edge.

There's Yeongsoon. He was one of the few people there whose band wasn't playing.

The next band was the Mods, a dual-vocal hardcore band. I never saw them again either.

This guy started GMC Records. His band was Firestorm.

Here's Seungpa when he was in the process of coming out of skinhead retirement.

13 Steps.

Spiky Brats.

I was alarmed to hear that a straight-edge band called the Geeks was playing.

Look behind Kiseok and you'll see the only other foreigner who was at the show. Look familiar?

I made friends with this girl, who went by the online identity of Zust. She was very protective of pictures of herself.

Here's Rux.

Samchung.

These guys looked a little different.

Couch is setting up, but I had to catch the subway home. I got a few before I left.

And there's my friend on the subway platform. He had a good time and particularly enjoyed the hardcore bands.
