Soul Allnighter
I've been planning to throw together a reggae night for quite a while. It turned out Jonathan wanted to put together a soul night, so we've decided to combine forces. I managed to talk with Anthony and we're going to have this at DGBD on Friday, December 8. It'll be from 11:00pm to the opening of the subways at least.
Also, here's a crazy video made by Never Daniel and some friends, apparently called the Slammer Army of Death. You need to sacrifice eleven minutes of your life to see what they do.

The Slackers
A while ago I was contacted by Dave Hillyard from the Slackers about playing a few shows in Korea. It came as quite a surprise, as the Slackers are one of my all-time favourite bands. Yesterday he finally sent me the dates they'll be available to stop by Korea for a couple shows: March 28/29/30/31. That's a Wednesday to a Saturday, so I'm not sure if they'd be able to play a Sunday show. None of the venue details are confirmed yet, but it won't be long. All I can say is this will be the best show that ever happened and ever will happen.
Hongdae
This was the first time I'd returned to Hongdae since Marc's visit. I wanted to stop by FF and try to meet the owner, so I can figure out the rental costs. Jonathan and I are planning to rent it out on a Friday night and have a reggae/soul party. Also, Ska Sucks were having their CD release.

Friday Night with Dorian and Oronzo
These two are starting to seem like twins. I went out drinking with both of them on Friday night and got a few pictures. So that's all you get this weekend, some good old-fashioned skinhead beer drinking.
This might be a good time to reintroduce the skinhead collector cards. It's probably been around a year but there have been so many new people to make cards for I had to do it eventually. It just sucks it took me so long. I made Verv a new and much better card, and made cards for some people who would probably not want cards. Jonathan has two because I couldn't decide which was best. There are a few of people I don't know, and there are even a couple made by other people.
I just have a bit of advice if you want to make a card. The picture should best capture the person's personality, but also they have to look like they belong on the card. They should be taking themselves seriously in the photo, or at least pretending to. If you look like you don't want to be on the card, it won't work. You have to want to be there. The cards are meant for laughing at, not laughing with; the advantage here is you get to laugh at yourself.
