The Return of Yeongsoon
Yeongsoon had a week of freedom. This was his second weekend here, and he was scheduled to play on Friday, so I came out after work. I also wanted to see MR27, but they were the second band and I missed them. Oh well, I should be able to see them in a week or two anyway. Who knows when Attacking Forces will play again?

Support Your Own Air Conditioning
After I came back from the restaurant, I saw Popstore, Limited Express, and the Geeks. Then I met my friends Greg and River, along with Jung who hasn't been in Hongdae for months, and we went to Club Cargo for a bit so I could watch them dance. Later we ended up in the park where we got to witness Verv's samgyupsaur dance.

Support Your Own Air Conditioning
This gallery is low on outdoors shots and high on skinhead bands. After I took some Captain Bootbois photos I went outside to sort through my pictures. Then I realised I was missing Attacking Forces so I ran in. Luckily I only missed a couple songs. They played a short set with Dokyo13 and Yongook from Dirty Small Town helping out. It was good to see them on stage again. After we all went out for dinner together.

Support Your Own Air Conditioning
Today I bring you the Waking Party, Couch, and Rux. I'm surprised that this was the Waking Party's first show at Skunk. There certainly were enough people already familiar with them, and their set went down pretty well. And I was grateful to Alex for wearing a white T-shirt; it was easy to photograph.

Support Your Own Air Conditioning
There was a giant fundraiser show at Skunk. The cause? Air conditioning. The first two bands to play were Vassline and No Brain. Yes, it's always good to give little bands a chance. Anyway, the show is already off to a good start. Let's see how many of the roughly 16 bands I can photograph.

Full House
Once again Burke is the hero of this gallery. On Saturday before the show he invited us all over to his place for a sausage party up on the roof. It's quite a view, and everyone loves being roasted in the sun. I went along with my friends Greg and River.

Galaxy Express at Drug
One of the newest and most promising bands is Galaxy Express. According to their MySpace page, they're from North Korea. I'm not sure about the other guys, but I know Joohyun is South Korean. I hadn't seen them yet so this was more motivation to come out. Unfortunately the show was cut short by mechanical failure, although they were punishing their instruments quite a bit.
After consulting with Burke, I decided I'm going to refer to Assignment 27 as MR27 on here. Probably in person I'll keep calling them Assignment 27. By the way, here's a video of MR27.
And no, in Korea it's not lame to have a band name with a number in it.
The lighting for this set was on my side. At least for Burke. Sidney was practically standing in shadow. Strangely enough I got my best pictures of him on my old camera.

Cellar Door at Drug
After weeks of self-exile, I've finally returned to Hongdae to take pictures. After having gone to all the trouble to fix my flash, I barely used it. On the way there, I took some pictures of the flooding in the Han River. It's pretty intense.
The first band I'll introduce is Cellar Door. I took pictures using both my old camera and my new camera. The old pictures are mainly at the end of the gallery.
