Daejeon
We all met up in Yongsan to catch the train down to Daejeon.
Verv got some quick breakfast. We were waiting for Tom, who was late. He got there literally at the last minute.
Oronzo and I got seats.
There's Dorian giving Verv a call to see if he made it on the train with Tom.
Tom showed up.
We had some beers for the train ride.
Grant was with us too.
I forget exactly how Verv explained this patch to me, but I seem to recall it meant he wants to have sex with Karl Marx? It must be that big bushy beard. You could lose your hands in them...
Three down, 14 to go.
Some swapping was done so Verv could sit.
In Daejeon. It's pretty much how I pictured.
Seodaejeon is closest to Hitler.
We waited around for a couple other guys to show up.
Kind of a miserable day.
The dog didn't mind the rain.
According to this sign, one person died on the road yesterday and 12 were injured. I'd always heard of these signs but never seen one.
Everyone in our Seoul group (but me).
Our guides Tobin and Phil showed up, and we made it to the Hitler bar. It's across a bridge and past an area that smells like manure.
Dorian got some pictures.
This one's extra large so you can see the snapshots at the bottom.
There's Tobin and his friend Phil.
Hitler was closed so we went looking for a place to eat and drink more.
Oronzo was amused by this snowman sign. I guess when it rains you need to get an umbrella for your snowman.
This bar seemed to be a subtle nod to Hitler as well, but none of us were too excited to see inside.
We said "department store" a lot.
We got into a pretty good Korean restaurant.
Outside was a wedding.
Our two guides.
Back to Hitler! But it's still not open.
Grant looks at the fish.
Oronzo in front of Hitler.
Waving hi.
We went to a normal bar nearby and ordered 5 L of beer.
I ran out pretty often to check Hitler.
