Grand Ole Opry
On my way to Itaewon.

This used to be Swiss Chalet.

You know you're on Hooker Hill when...

They didn't stop me from entering.

This sign cites the Constitution for barring Koreans.

You can see the Confederate flag under here.

Mama Kim got behind the bar and started taking orders.

Denny wanted to set up the event.

Everyone admired the dangling money.

I think she was the one who was there to film the event. She turned out to be from Australia and in the film festival industry. I mentioned to her that I'd recently been working on an article about the Australian band The Hard-Ons, and a documentary about them, though she didn't know about this. Later, she told me "I'm the Australian who laughed at your hard-on."

Mama Kim mixes up a bucket cocktail.

Denny strategises while she makes money.

People kept ordering drinks, which delayed the start by a while. I think Denny recommended people just order bottles, but they kept getting cocktails which took longer.

Finally, the bartender comes out from behind the bar to speak.

When I counted, ther were over 50.

I think this was in the Playboy Korea article about her.

The menu.

That photo of her is from the Playboy Korea article.

This is the first time I've seen her outside the bar.

We went across the street to a vacant bar space and I got this picture.

Not a great view up Hooker Hill.

I believe this used to be called Twilight Zone.

It was known for having a good view, but part of that was from when it was the tallest building around.

This photo unlike the earlier one was from the roof I think.

I went past Sunset Beach earlier.

And wandered down a red alley. No, not that kind of red light.
