Donuimun Museum Village

This helpful sign showed me the place was closed, and had an image showing plans for the site.

Here's a closer look. Most of the buildings are removed, except for the Hanoks, and possibly some of the new buildings on site.

Here's a map of the current area.

I guess these buildings will go, except for the new Hanoks to the left.

That tall building in the distance used to house the Cop Titan on its side.

This fence shows it means business: you're not going in here.

A look over the fence anyway.

Same here.

This doorway had been closed for a while.

They still had the miniature of Namdaemun in there.

This cafe remained open.

I recall last decade creeping through this alley while the Cop Titan watched.

This restaurant was also open.

Lots of protest signs. They are having a dispute over the city encouraging them to move in here during the pandemic, and then apparently yanking the lease early.

Some of the doomed buildings.

I recall drinking here after an RAS lecture, back when it used to be a vinyl bar.

Shawn Morrissey's Dark Side of Seoul tour goes through this alley.

I found one more little alley.

It's kind of barricaded but not closed off like the others.

Earlier, I used to be able to see a lot of the museum village under construction from up there.

From the street corner.
