Yongsan Destinations

I was here to photograph the Haebangchon section. It focuses specifically on the market.

The mysterious Itaewon Observatory, which nobody I talk to ever seems to be aware of.

This depiction of Noksapyeong area shed some light.

I don't know how this observatory under construction could possibly be the filming site for a 2020 K-drama.

The former part of Yongsan Garrison where you can go to take pictures of a pretty ordinary residential area without going through heavy security.

They saw the need for this.

Hannam-dong Cafe Street.

Gyeongnidan-gil.

And of course, its less multicultural copy, Yongnidan-gil.

That construction is Itaewon Observatory. They're basically just building a bunch of stuff on top of the public washroom. I've yet to figure out if it will really have a waterfall as indicated.

"Welcome All Itaewon" is apparently a new slogan for the area.
