Homeless World Cup

Here's the grounds where the event was held. There were three small fields side by side.

I decided to take pictures looking in other directions before leaving.

Over there you can see some water treatment facilities.

In this zoom, you can see the Sewerage Science Museum I visited recently, which contains a gently sloping horseshoe-shaped roof, including a playground slide.

This window was my way onto the roof and off. I had to take a run and dive through to fit back inside.

Down on the ground, I found this water spurting out here for some unknown reason.

There were a bunch of food trucks. Earlier in the week, there had been a vegan festival here, but this time when I showed up with my vegan writer, nothing was vegan.

I watched Mexico vs. Ireland.

Ireland won.

Next game I saw was Poland vs. Scotland.

Their goalie was very good.

There's one guy down there with a beard, who is representative of what I was expecting this global gathering of unhoused people to look like.
