2023 Phone Pictures 2

I happened to get these two magnets from reporters who'd gone abroad. I meant to make this more of a thing but the collection has stalled a year later at these two.

Random scene in Insadong.

These marionettes were inside a restaurant in the area.

Accidental spill.

Another look at the train tracks in front of Gwanghwamun.

Was this the night Lily ran away and came back?

Found glasses at the final Phillies WDI show.

There was no sidewalk, so some idiots walked over to the crosswalk over there, and more idiots followed. I remember remarking on the danger of it to other foreign tourists who ended up not going. It ended up being a free-for-all crosswalk.

This is the way in to KOTE.

Here are two of the KOTE cats. I haven't seen them around in a while.

This must be after Jeremy's lecture.

Looks kind of like a face.

Millie totally isn't spying on me while I'm in the washroom.

Comparative book sizes.

The Bedrock door was left open, and I slipped in and saw this.

Here's a poster for one of their events. We've since figured out the mystery of what's going on here and who's in control.

I tried to sit on that rail, and slid over and fell on the other side.

Busy night at the Photo Heim.

I got a Wu-Tang Clan mask from DJ Symphony. I asked him in a later interview if this meant I was officially a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, and he gave a fairly diplomatic answer.

Yeah. I wanted you to have that mask because at the time in society, we were at a point where we had to wear mask or some of us wore mask. And I wanted you to have the latest fashion for one of the best rap groups of all time. So I wanted you to represent the brand, and I wanted you to represent it because I felt you were an official representative of the Wu to help carry the legacy.
So I guess I'm in!

Good try.

This is a shot I got with the leaders of Uhee Company and Kingston Rudieska when we were contemplating having them perform in this space.

I ran into Jyung-ah who apparently dropped the Y from her name.

And also Steve Miller.

Benzene was detected in the RAS Korea Library.

That overpass was the site of a traumatic fire. There was debate over whether it was a tunnel or an overpass.

Here's The Workshop shortly after it was closed unexpectedly.

At this point I just started phtoographing dogs for their future Missing posters.

That dog is Ryan's dog, and it's too big to get lost.

Ryan's daughter served me a drink.

Two Mikeys!

I found this soccer ball I'd purchased on my 1996 visit, before Korea and Japan teamed up.

Looks like two cats that kind of want Indian food.

Or just to watch their stories.

A normal picture but when it's blurred that much it looks a little Jokery.

Butt-touching.

A night at the CU.

I went to Newsboy Burger Pub on its final night open.

Group shot taken by Trash.

There she is pretending she didn't do it.

An online map said there was a GS25 on one floor of our building. I checked, and it was not.

I think I took this photo to show my coworkers the way to this restaurant.

This must be somewhere in the same area but it doesn't look familiar.

This place I know.

A peek through the poorly locked front gate of Workshop.

From my rooftop.

Was I just showing the new 7-Eleven across the street?

The new sign at Phillies. I've only had that brunch once but it was impressive.

A Discovery Channel scooter.

Whoops I mean Discovery Cheannel.

Some kind of party at Phillies.

Some kind of party at Hair of the Dog.

Looking for errors.

Playing chess in the bar.

Inside the CU during renovation.

It reopened shortly after.

As promised.

Buster was missing and I took this photo of the inside of a box to see if he was there.

He needs an insulin shot.

Looking toward Noksapyeong Station.

The best grocery store in the city.

I later used this graphic to come up with a quiz: K-pop idol group or health insurance?

Construction behind my office.

Future missing dog?

I think this is the bakery my parents used to go to.

Final beer at Phillies.

Long story short, I ended up with a lot of these things that I don't need.

This is alcohol. I learned that the hard way after injecting a bunch of it into Buster. Fortunately it didn't do anything.

A weird washroom door.

Seen from the other side. I wonder if it originally worked, and they just built the alley up over time.

The washroom also has some pretty interesting wiring.

This is the backup convenience store. It's the only one in the whole valley that sells English-language domestic newspapers.

Hustler? Is that really a car brand? By the way, both those businesses across the alley have since closed.

A giant Spam tin.

Cops at Phillies.

Kelly, the fake Danish beer.

Hair of the Dog doesn't sell Kelly.

I think this was a Dogma Kimchi Dog.

Abocado.

BDBD looks more open now.

Gilbert Burgers does not.

Way more bizarre drinks in the fridge.

We found this lighting control board in the garbage.

HBC mosque.

The last remaining grocery store.

Millie really likes ketchup. Not to eat, just emotionally.

Two Korean beers pretending to be foreign and one Korean beer that's not afraid to admit it.

My review.

Buster wants to write about it.

I took this picture to ask a Danish friend if this is anything official that HiteJinro shouldn't be using on its labels.
