Texas
That area has been in a similar state for about a decade.

This is the weird space where I managed to achieve that view.

Looking northeast.

I recall there had been a neighbourhood there, and they demolished it to build this weird little field.

The helipad.

Here's a view looking out over the red-light district.

A giant block of a church.

In this direction we can see more of the red-light district, which is concentrated in the two or three rightmost rows of buildings seen here.

Somewhat closer look at that.

Zooming in, this is a complex of buildings where I went over the rooftops looking for a way down.

The shadows are too extreme right now.

Starhills, sure.

The sunlight is having a strong effect.

You can see Lotte World Tower in the distance.

A few phone pictures which get a more dynamic range.

I exited, and looked back at the roof access door.

A streamside public washroom.

Some more infrastructure.

They seem to be renovating this stream area.

The gateway into Texas.

Watch out for roadkill.

I encountered a few smashed windows in the red-light district.

Empty alley.

Looking inside one brothel.

This one had stairs up.

I headed out.

Prices are still listed. It's cheaper if you pay in cash.

I returned to the same rooftop after about 40 minutes, aiming to shoot it during blue hour.

Kind of the transition between golden hour and blue hour.

With less direct sunlight, everything's a lot clearer now.

Whoops.

There are a couple residents in that village across the way.

There's that giant block of a church.

Now that it was dark, I risked a return visit to the red-light district.

Here's a frozen aquarium.

A table inside a brothel.

Collapsed stairs leading down to a basement.

A mannequin.

Inside a room.

After I heard a voice out front, possibly calling to me, I went out onto the roof and began investigating how to drop down into this alley out back.

The stairs in this brothel appeared to have been overgrown by a sizeable tree.

That's the door I came out of I think.

I found a ladder, but was faced with the conundrum that using it would tip anyone off that an intruder had been there.

Another look out over the alley, where at the end there was a small store still open.
