The Host
Couples shot near the mouth of the tunnel.

We went in farther and came across this curious collection of items. What appears to be a kettle and a burner that needs to be plugged into something, and water bottles and lots of paper cups. I would not use a paper cup that has spent any time in this tunnel unsupervised.

Then I looked up and saw they were building this bridge. There was a second one a short ways upstream too.

As we approached the Host mural, we saw there was new graffiti around there.

Art enthusiasts?

Maybe not.

The notorious sex tagger strikes again.

Yeah okay.

We tried lighting fireworks, only to discover that all the ones I brought were already spent. This picture shows us wandering around in front of a live exposure trying to figure it out.

Spidey realised he could stand in front of the camera and make drawings, so he did this.

Here's another ghostly couples portrait.

Slightly less ghostly, unless you count my silhouette on the right.

Looking upstream, we got this nice view.

We went into the halfway pipe. I should have brought my tripod and set up proper shots, but this was the best I could do handheld.

I wasn't willing to go back and forth lugging equipment because of this water trap.

After we emerged, we spotted a large bird in the distance. Before I could get its picture, it flew away. We went upstream to the Bone Tunnel entrance, where we once again encountered the same bird resting in the shade.

A closer look.

A wider shot. Spidey asked me how deep the water was, and I told him when I fell through the ice, I was soaked up to my knee.

Anyway, the bird is still there.

As we approached the Bone Tunnel entrance, I was ready.

There it goes.

Based on the black eyelashes and grey wingtips, we were able to ID this later as a grey heron.

Kind of a ratty-looking bird.

Until you see it in flight.

The last Bone Tunnel bone in the Bone Tunnel.

One more couples shot.
