I couldn't quite figure out what this thing does.
Oh well, I'll take it for a spin.
What a stupid pointless sidewalk that just terminates after 3 kilometers without continuing anywhere. It just gives you the choice to jump down onto the road or into some very rough terrain.
See those trees in front of the tunnel? At best, the sidewalk dumps you off behind those.
